Back again

Well, I keep getting reminded that it has been a long time since I have posted a blog. Yes, Shelby and Kailey, I am talking about you. And sheesh, it hasn't been that long has it? Only about 11 months or so. In that time, Kailey has gotten a little sister, and Shelby has gotten a new son. Both of them are cute, by the way. And I'm glad they're yours. Although, I might trade you for my 3 year old. Just kidding. Don't tell Wendy I said that. Or Lindsey, for that matter.

Well, I decided that instead of trying to catch you up on a whole year, I would just ramble about a couple of things, and then write about something else next time. Maybe about 9 months from now? :-)

First of all, the summer. Becca seemed to not want to stay home. She went on various excursions over the course of the summer, including girl's camp. The house seemed weird without her for about 4 weeks this summer.

Also, we went to Antelope Island with my friend Werner from Germany. Notice he's wearing the Utah hat that I gave him. He still can't understand why I have to despise BYU, just because I like Utah. I tried to explain it to him, but something must have gotten lost in the translation. By the way, my prediction for this year? Utah 34, BYU 31. :-)

And, Brandon got to go on his first backpacking trip. He did great. He didn't even complain about carrying his own pack. Even when he had to carry grandpa part of the way.

And, last but not least.....Go Utes!!!!!

Utah vs. the stinky Team Down South

The day of the big game came, and we had to do some decorating. Note the U light on the roof. It looks great at night when lit. Maybe it's a good thing the Utes didn't win, or else Brandon would have had to stand at the plug and keep pulling it out and putting it back in so that the U would blink like the one on the mountain in SLC Then there was the painting in the lawn. The block U,
And the Go Utah! to try and cheer the team to victory
This was our door mat
And these were our two lawn artists, Becca and her cousin Cierra.

Alas, the Utes didn't win - but we will get them next year. My prediction? Utah by 50. Go Utes!!!!!!

Happy Birthday

Happy 39th Birthday Mom!!!!!!!!
Congrats to Becca, who made the sign for you.
We all miss you and hope you had a great birthday!

Halloween

Well, it's Halloween time, and time for my 2nd post. Here is our family trying to gather strength for the grueling trick or treat ritual. Notice the cat is getting ready too.

Here are the kids in their costumes. Becca was sick tonight, so she only went trick or treating for a few minutes. That's why the image of a dead bride fit her pretty well. Brandon is the Darth Vader with the green Light Saber (even though the Dark side used red ones), and the other Darth Vader is his friend Tyler. Lindsey is the little pink doggie. Nathan had gone with his friend Jared, so we had to get a picture of him in his red Power Ranger outfit later. Notice the
very tired and half naked Lindsey next to him.

And, last but not least, the pumpkins. These were designed by the kids, and cut by dad. And all his fingers are still intact.

Happy Halloween, everybody!!!!!

Pictures of the kids

Hey Anyone that wants to check out my blog, here it is. This is mainly for mom and dad, because I know mom keeps wanting pictures of the kids and the family, and I have always been such a slacker and not sent one. Mostly because I didn't want to set up snapfish. Something about it just appealed to my procrastinating self and I just never got around to it. Also, since it really is impractical to cut and paste pictures into emails, I decided to post them here. So, mom and dad, this is for you. Or anybody else who wants to look at my beautiful family.
